Croatian Chamber of Commerce Act in 2022

According to the new Croatian Chamber of Commerce Act (OG, No. 144/21), members of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce from Group I that do not exceed two of the following three criteria: balance sheet assets do not exceed HRK 7,5 million, total annual revenues do not exceed HRK 15 million and the number of employees does not exceed 50) are no longer obliged to pay membership fee but can opt for voluntary payment.

However, the payment of membership fee to the Croatian Chamber of Commerce remains mandatory for members from Group II (do not exceed two of the following three criteria: balance sheet assets do not exceed HRK 30 million, total annual revenues do not exceed HRK 60 million, number of employees does not exceed 250) and Group III (exceed two of the three criteria for Group II), and the amount of the monthly membership fee remains unchanged.

Voluntary membership fee is HRK 150 for companies that generate revenue of up to HRK 7,500,000.00 and HRK 300 for companies that generate revenue higher than HRK 7,500,000.00. Members receive a number of benefits such as: business support and data processing, professional training, education and conferences, specialized consultations and reports, intermediation, networking and presentation of members on the international market, promotional activities and presentations of products and services and public and licensed services. The package of HRK 300 has an additional benefit and that is intermediation and connection with foreign business entities via digital platform.

In addition to the abovementioned benefits, member companies of the Chamber that pay membership fee in accordance with the new Act have the right to: elect their representatives to the bodies of the Chamber, through their representatives manage the Chamber, directly participate in professional associations and other forms of organization in the Chamber, exchange information and experiences, conduct and organize consultations, to start initiatives for the adoption and change of Acts and other regulations and measures of interest to the economy and entrepreneurship, to use professional assistance and services of the Chamber and participate in the activities of the Chamber.
